Directional arrows
Reported via iOS in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 19:56, Tue 5 April 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 370164.
Directional arrows needed on this new link road roundabouts. I’ve have had several near misses with people in the wrong lane, thinking they are in the correct lane. I don’t believe it’s fair that the council leave it down to the individuals drivers to decide what lane they should use correctly/incorrectly

Adding directional arrows to roundabout lanes can often create a situation of over confidence in terms of roundabout capacity. Without arrows, onus on driver to approach and travel across roundabouts in accordance with the Highway Code, ensuring priority given to drivers approaching from the right, and only joining the roundabout when there is space to do so.
