Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 10:46, Tue 12 April 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 370429x.
I have already registered an issue. I am bemused that how a case can be “closed” and “no further action” required when, by the description provided, you are trying to rectify the situation this week.
To me, that is a total negligent policy and the case should be remained open UNTIL the work has been completed. I really want someone to call me regarding this issue - my property is at risk of flash flooding due to the puddles created by the inadequate drainage outside my property.
You have my ema address - please arrange for a person, title and number for me to call to discuss.

email to resident:
Dear Mr Wiles
I write in response to the reports that you have made.
Please be assured that works on the drainage systems that run along the High Street where carried out as per the report notes.
You may not have witnessed these due to the works being further down the road or perhaps even an evening call out.
There is a presently known issue with the main run on the High Street which as stated works were carried out.
Should the issue with the flooding again arise, please contact us and we shall arrange for the gullies to be jetted in your end of the High Street.
Please call if the flood poses a risk to your property.
Kind Regards
Victoria Arganese

customer email below:
I am getting really fed up. More flooding and have just had to post my 3rd notice due to this issue being signed off as complete when no work had been conducted. Just how can this be??
Why oh why cannot someone just pick up the phone and talk to me?
The responses and feedback are, frankly pathetic. Just look at the grammar and the total lack of info provided.
I need this fixed ASAP. You are creating flood risks.
I need to escalate this - please ensure I receive a call from a senior manager by the end of the week.

an order has been issued for a jetter and camera to check out the recently repaired main run and the gullies outs no 108 and 108a, this should enable the problem to be found so we can fix it.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
