Light pollution
Reported via iOS in the Street Lights category anonymously at 11:39, Wed 13 April 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 370486x.
I live on Roundel Drive and the street lights outside my home are more suitable for an airport or a motorway than a suburban estate. Even with black out blinds and curtains it is as light as daytime overnight in my bedroom. This affects my sleep cycle and my mental health. It would be so easy to rectify this light pollution with more suitable bulbs or even removal of a percentage of the bulbs nearest to houses.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
Central Bedfordshire CouncilState changed to: no further action
