The whole of the A6 deadmans hill layby
Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 10:20, Wed 15 June 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372514x.
The surface of the layby has deteriorated over the past few years and now has numerous deep potholes which are increasingly hard to avoid especially in wet conditions or when trying to avoid oncoming traffic, is now forcing traffic to weave around and is becoming in places almost unpassable, it will lead to an accident if not dealt with. Please note there is also zero visibility at both entrances to the layby for traffic crossing from southbound as central reservation grass obscures view of oncoming traffic, something drivers are unaware of until committed to crossing. Serious accident in this location last week.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
