Unclear double yellow lines
Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 12:00, Sun 26 June 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 372979x.
There are double yellow lines between Russett Close and no. 53 Woburn Street but they're very faint and everyone ignores them. Therefore, there are often cars parked there which greatly reduces the visibility down the road when pulling out from Russett Close in to Woburn Street. Can we have new lines painted please?

I've now added a photo to better explain the problem. The first 2 cars in front of the camera are parked on the double yellow lines, the 3rd car along is parked correctly. You can also see the my visibility is not great when a car approaches, as you can also see in the photo. It's definitely a safety hazard. You can also see that the yellow lines are badly warn, and therefore ignored by parked cars.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
