No appropriate lane marking sign
Reported via mobile in the Signs category anonymously at 22:07, Tue 12 July 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 373596.
On the roundabout in Boscombe Road heading south, there should be a get in lane sign or road markings indicating which lane to be in to use the second exit. It is not clear whether the left lane is just for the left turn, or can also be used to go straight ahead. When vehicles in the right lane are not using it to complete a u-turn with the third exit, they will often merge dangerously close to those in the left lane as shown in my dash cam footage screenshots. I use this roundabout frequently and it is more difficult to navigate when busy than it has to be.

Thank you for your query. There are 2 exits on the roundabout (unless performing a complete u-turn of course) and 2 lanes, with directional signage on approach, so this roundabout should be somewhat straightforward to motorists.
Acknowledge that the dashcam footage shows a lorry essentially using both lanes. The exit on to the roundabout, although 2 lanes, is fairly narrow. Onus on all road users to drive with due care and attention, and give space where it may be required.
