Trees

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 17:11, Wednesday 21 September 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 376003.

Following my report, the council cut down the 11 trees bordering the rear ofour property and the council trimmed down the trees I have reported. I spoke to them at the time. The trees dont belong to any residents, it is amenity land. You are saying the trees dont belong to anybody, So in this case, anybody can cut them down or remove them.

  • The trees dont run along our fence. They are not on our titled deeds. This land is amenity land, nothing to do with us. The council have trimned some of these trees before. Are you looking at the right trees. It is a grassy area with trees on. Behind Gemini and Saturn rear gardens

  • Thank you for making a report, however Central Bedfordshire Council are not responsible for this matter. To clarify, some of the trees on the open greenspaces/amenity land on Appenine Way are owned by residents, not all. The ones bordering your property are owned by the Developer. and have not been adopted by the Council. There has been some illegally felled trees over the past few years in this area. I can confirm that the Council have not felled anything within the last 4 years. Before then, I cannot comment.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
