Reported via iOS in the Street Lights category by Cllr Liz Jones at 04:05, Tue 27 September 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 376154x.
Two lights are not working in the main footfall area of Ashton Square car park. One light is close to the Wilkinson / Methodist Church walkway and is the main footway for pedestrians to and from the Ashton Square area. The second light is in the car park near to the toilets With darker evenings coming it is essential these lights are fixed now to avoid increase risk of slips, trips and fall and to increase pedestrian safety

This is continuing to be a major health and safety concern for people using the car park at night. The area is pitch black and dangerous to anyone walking in the area at night.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
