Second very large beech tree on right hand side on entering Church End, Arlesey

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 14:03, Tuesday 27 September 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 376170.

The tree is diseased and dying. It has large dead boughs which are a danger to life and limbs if they fall, especially now with the winter and high winds approaching. I reported this two years ago, apparently your tree surgeon/contractor came out and told a neighbour it definitely needs taking down and that it would be scheduled in. But nothing has happened. Something needs to be done before it falls down and injures someone or worst still kills someone!

  • A large bough has already fallen sometime in last couple of days - but it looks like it could have come from the first tree on the right. It was caught in a smaller tree below which was overhanging the road. We managed to dislodge it before it fell on someone or a car Have you any idea exactly when the work will be done ?
