Dead Cherry tree on greenspace behind parking bays (outside no.52)

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 10:52, Mon 31 October 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 377523.

This particular tree has been dead for some time, however recently large pieces have started to fall off in light winds and so has the risk of falling over on to the adjacent path or on to vehicles parked nearby.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
The second tree was not dead, no, but with the ash self-set growing within the base and the multiple moderately sized wounds on the scaffold limbs (some of which were over the cars), the structural integrity left me with little choice. I will re-plant in the same area.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
