Massive fall away of road surface
Reported via iOS in the Road Surface category anonymously at 16:15, Fri 11 November 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378101x.
Massive road surface fall away creating a crevice that is damaging to non-farming vehicles when having to pass oncoming traffic. This needs addressing and filling in as the winter weather is approaching and this will only become far worse with the temperatures dropping.

Appalling duty of care by Central Beds which is no surprise. The road surface has eroded away leaving massive voids at the side of the road which causes the underside of cars to scrape and potentially cause costly damage to car/tyres. When forced to pull over for passing HGV/tractors/lorries you have no choice other than to drive into the deep ditch. The route is heavily used by agricultural vehicles and a favoured diversion route by CBC when roadworks are planned. There has been no highway maintenance of the road surfaces and edges down this road for a very long time.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
