Driveway exit across the pavement outside 19 Taylors Ride, Leighton Buzzard

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 16:40, Thu 17 November 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378365.

There has been roadworks for Openreach outside our house. A trench was dug across the pavement and driveway entrance and the tarmac removed down to the underlying cement and further. This has been retarmacked today, however, a large area of cement is still visible together with an approx. 3cm drop around the edge of the tarmac that had been laid. They have taken the tarmac very close to the water meter access port and this may cause problems when lifting. The ridges of tarmac and unevenness of the surface is dreadful, which could potentially cause an issue when driven over and for pedestrians. There was a patch of grass right on the corner next to the farm track and this has been tarmacked over. The driveway entrance goes directly over this very uneven surface, which was previously relatively smooth. Additional photos are available.
