Flash flood
Reported via iOS in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 14:31, Mon 28 November 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 378884x.
Outside 39 Southcourt Avenue is a blocked kerbside drain.
There is nothing to see at the moment, but whenever there is very heavy rain the pavement and road floods.
I can’t imagine that it hasn’t been reported before but it seems to date back to when the road was resurfaced. It really needs fixing!

This is this morning.s photo. The puddle is now right across the pavement and extends most of the way to Barnabas Road. A drain sucker lorry will not do it. The fault has been there since the road was resurfaced. It clearly needs to be properly dug out and replaced by drainage experts.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
