Barton Hills Road between Lilley and Streatley (A6)

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 18:29, Tuesday 24 January 2023

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 382526.

This road is notorious for potholes which have been developing since before Christmas. There are numerous, large, dangerous potholes along the entire strip of road (Herts and Central Beds). They are filled every year but this does not stop them from developing again the following year You can't always avoid them when there is oncoming traffic due to the narrowness of the road- and need to slow right down to gently drive over them, when this is the case. Driving to work this morning a large pothole punctured my tyre. I use the road daily, and so thought I could avoid the ones I know about. Police arrived at the scene due to the dangers of the road. I have had to have my tyre replaced due to this. I was not travelling at speed as I have a 'black box' fitted in the car. This has caused me an enormous amount of stress.

Please can someone contact me regarding compensation for my loss today.

Kind regards
