This roadworks permit says some carriageway incursions and unlikely to cause delays. That is incorrect. It effectively closes one lane approaching the traffic lights from town. Also when traffic has filled the right lane to Houghton, there's no space to enter the left lane when the straight on lights go green. They also coned off the left lane into Brewers Hill to park their vehicles. The queue stretches back to the town centre cross roads most afternoons, all afternoon and evening.
