Tree Significantly overhanging garden

Reported via Android in the Trees category anonymously at 14:53, Mon 5 June 2023

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 390128.

Large tree is significantly over hanging 50% my garden. On several occassions i have branches falling from the tree into my property, and with extent of overhang is making large parts of my garden un-usable. Would request a site visit and a review of the tree in question.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.

Apologies for the delay, your follow up report stopped appearing on our list. This report was found through an assessment of FixMyStreet, whereas we officers review and action these report on a different system. This disconnect is being looked at by our Customer Intelligence Team.

As to the tree, we do not prune trees just becuase they over hang a boundary, land owners can prune anything up to their property line. Provided this is conducted by a competent person to BS3998, and arisings are disposed of responsibly. This mature oak tree has a TPO, so any work you conduct would require permission from our Planning Department

    Many thanks,
