Street Light No. 99 on junction of Dunstable Road and Randall Drive Toddington, LU5, adjacent to bus stop on road going in to Toddington

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 17:17, Fri 28 July 2023

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 392632.

Hi please note, the Light No. is not 100% visible however I believe it is No. 99. It is on the main road going into Toddington, just before a roundabout and next to the bus stop. This has been reported dozens of times since Nov 2022. It is a safety risk as the street light is right next to a bus stop so needs to be working as public get on/off buses on a busy road. Please advise when this will be fixed, thanks Andy

  • We have a faulty street light on Dunstable Road adjacent to Randall Drive, just before the busy roundabout, Light No. 99.

It has been reported so many times over the past 13 months, including a recent notification to our new MP! The reason it is in need of an urgent repair is because it is next to a public bus stop where children get on and alight school buses and it is dark and unsafe.

Anything you can do to get your colleagues at CBC to fix it would be very much appreciated. If it can.t/won.t be fixed please just tell us why!
