Street light No 8 in windmill road Flitwick Mk45 1AU

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 393470.

This street light does not work and lights 50 yards further down the road do not seem to work since the council removed a tree and took down the street light dead opposite the chapel road junction. Please sort this out before the nights get darker.

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Our engineers have inspected and found a fault with the power supply which is owned and maintained by the electricity provider. We have requested that they investigate and make a repair (their target timescale is 28 days). We will continue to monitor this issue until it is resolved. Please contact us again after that time if the light is still out.

  • The street light No 8 in Windmill rd Flitwick MK45 1AU has still not working. It has been more than 28 days since you stated that the power company were looking to fix it in that time frame and there has been no sign of any work done in the area. I am pretty sure the removal of a tree and street light ( light base taped up) further down the road dead opposite Chapel Road has something to do with the non functioning light. Please can you get this light and the light base mentioned fixed asap as darker nights are here and this area is poorly illuminated now. Thanks
