Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 396189.

Man hole cover needs repairing / readjusting. Loose and rattling every time a vehicle goes over it. Located near 110 and opposite a business premises which is a foot care clinic. Resident says we have been out to repair this same man hole cover several times . That a solution could be to put a rubber seal around it or some other long term solution

  • Customer called back in to say manhole has got worse, gave history of notes following inspection that no further action at this time.
    Liason Team have advised to pass info to Streetworks Team with customer info of who called, along with CRN number to pass to them as may be asset issue (gas, waterboard) for Streetworks to investigate further.
    Have advised customer who called today that this has been actioned in an email to Streetworks Team.

  • Customer has called in to state that the cover is very noisy and has not been repaired. They would like this be repared as soon as possible.

  • Customer called asking to clarify if we are aware of any work due to be carried out by Anglian Water to repair the man hole cover on Clifton Road Shefford.
    The original Highways report has been closed as it now needs to be dealt with by the utility company. Customer advised that they have spoken to Anglian water several times and they have said that they need permission from CBC to do the works but haven’t advised if they have requested it. Therefore the customer doesn’t know when the work will be carried out and the noise is getting much worse.
