Dear Sirs, On 13th of October, we reported a blocked drain outside of our pharmacy, and also attached photographs of the blocked drain. After considerable delays, we had an update, that a local team has inspected the drain and they require heavy machinery to clear the drains, and that this will be done by a different team. We have been chasing for this, and on Friday, the 10th of November, there was an update on this platform, as below, indicating that the drain has been cleared. None of our staff, witnessed the team having been to the site, and hence we engaged a drain clearance company to confirm that the drains have been cleared. This was done yesterday morning, and we have confirmation with photographic evidence that the drain has not been cleared. The latest photos are attached. We have serious flooding issues during heavy rains and is imperative that the subject drain is cleared as a matter of urgency.
Below report from the earlier update:
Thank you for submitting your Highways report. The gully clearance and check has been completed, we will keep check on the flow of water on the next rainfall. Our engineers have inspected the area and are satisfied that no further action is required at this time. Many thanks, Central Bedfordshire Council Highways State changed to: No further action Posted by Central Bedfordshire Council at 11:40 today •
