Between Moore Crescent and Park Road North roundabouts

Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category anonymously at 13:37, Wed 15 November 2023

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 397070.

This road has been uneven for at least a year. Starting at Moore Crescent and heading to Park Road North roundabouts, there are two dips near the curb, and three distinct bumps in the road after roadworks in December 2022. My previous report was dismissed - this is a main road between Houghton and Luton, please reasses this.

  • I've provided more pictures of the road. Each patch is where the road is uneven, on both sides. This was reported in November 2023, and was caused in December 2022. The update was to wait until the new financial year. Can I please check this will still be assessed soon?

    Kind regards, Laurence

Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
