There is a soil pit which is part of the road drainage system in Eggington. This soil pit shown in the video and the photo. It is where the curb is dropped for the drive way of a house called Overdale.

The soil pit on High Street Eggington has not been emptied for years. Since October water has been running out of the soil pit into the gutter. With the heavy rains we have had recently the water has been flooding over the pavement. Water continues to pour from the soil pit when all other water in the street has dried up. The puddle has become a permanent feature along this part of the village road. It may have been reported before as in late November, I think, the drainage grating in the gutter which is around 10 meters away from the soil pit, and in front of my house, was cleaned out at 8.30 pm one night. I thought this odd as this drainage grating was not blocked at the time. Perhaps the men operating the vehicle could not see the soil pit in the dark? Please can the soil pit be cleared?
