Outside no 9 Dukes Ride. Street light no 3

This street light keeps going on and off. In the past it has been on 1 night and off the next. It has now been off for 5 days. It is very dark in this part of the street and is a safety concern when walking.

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Our engineers have inspected and found a fault with the power supply which is owned and maintained by the electricity provider. We have requested that they investigate and make a repair (their target timescale is 28 days). We will continue to monitor this issue until it is resolved. Please contact us again after that time if the light is still out.

  • It is now 36 days since the Central Bedfordshire update and the light is still not working. The electricity provider has missed their target timescale by miles. When will this be resolved, a realistic date please.

  • It is now over 3 months since I reported the fault and the street light is still not working. How long do we have to wait in the dark. Can you please update me on the repair with a guaranteed date for completion. Can you please raise a complaint.

  • It is now over 6 months since I reported the street light not working and it is still not working. In the evening we are still walking in the darkness, this is a serious safety issue. How long does it take to repair a street light? This is obviously low down on your priority list otherwise it would have been fixed by now. I previously asked for a completion date but received no reply. As a courteous can you please reply to me, a council tax paying resident.
