On path in front of entrance to 2 Mill Road, Stanbridge
Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 16:15, Tuesday 23 January 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 400623.
I reported this as the drain is obviously blocked and the water was coming out of the outside of the cover up 6-8” around the drain cover the concrete has cracked and is failing. Apparently you have inspected it and cannot find an issue, you probably inspected it in dry conditions as when it rains it’s obviously a problem also I’m not sure how you could fail to see the condition around the drain. If you inspected it in the dry you need to come back when it rains, what a complete waste of time reporting these issues when you take no notice of the previous complaint. Please contact me on next inspection and I will explain!!

Raining again and again we have the same problem of flooding from drain cover. Yesterday the Tilsworth Road was closed with barriers and there was a van with one person in it, no action was done and the van and barriers were taken away. What an absolute joke, no wonder councils are in financial difficulties. What a waste of our money. I suppose you will inspect this issue on a dry day again and say it.s been done and we.ll go through it again. This department is a disgrace
