Warren Lane left hand lane heading NE from A6 towards A507

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category by Les Pitts at 19:10, Monday 12 February 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 401714.

There is a large pothole at the edge of the highway which resulted in my car wheel needing to be straightened. This happened on Saturday 10th February 2024 at about 23:45. I note that there have been several potholes reported along this road and that, according to CBC response, remedial work is due to take place from 13th February. It's a shame the work wasn't carried out before closing the Clophill roundabout and forcing traffic to use Warren Lane to get between the A6 and A507. I hope I can find details of how to claim for the cost of the specialist repair needed.

  • State changed to: Investigating

  • I coulkd not provide photos of the offending pothole due to the time of day (nearly midnight), no safe place to stop in order to actually take a photo due to the width of the lane and the amount of continuous traffic using the road due to the roundabout closure.
