Corner of road opposite Upper Wood End Farm

Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 09:01, Friday 16 February 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 401979.

Flooded road again. Blocked drain and collapsed pipe under road means water running down the privately owned gravel lane opposite. This is causing damage and costing owners money repairing pot holes caused by flood water washing the stones away. Workers turned up and pumped water away at the beginning of the week but no works were completed to fix the problem.

  • Workers attended a week ago and uncovered the pipe that runs under the road where the water should drain and patched the edge of the tarmac (pointless if the pipe needs replacing). The flooding issue has not been fixed and the road is flooded yet again. Dangerous for road users and still running down the privately owned lane causing damage.
