Crossroads at Old Linslade Road, Bragenham Lane and Plantation Road

Reported via mobile in the Signs category anonymously at 09:16, Thu 29 February 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 402869.

Improved signage required to alert drivers of 40ton + lorries to the fact that Old Linslade road is unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles. Two lorries at separate times accessed the road on Monday 26th February. The lorries exceeded the weight limit on both the River Ouse bridge and canal bridge. This resulted in considerable damage to the grass verge adjacent to Old Linslade cemetary, and compromised the safety of other road users.
