Drain on path outside no 2 Mill Road, Stanbridge
Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 11:41, Tue 12 March 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 403711.
Here we go again, I have today written to Andrew Salous MP after repeated reporting this problem to you and getting no satisfactory response or solution. It seems as though you are either unwilling or incapable of managing your investigation team or in fact looking at the issues yourself so the time has come to escalate this issue. Since November 2023 I have reported that the drain outside 2 Mill Road Stanbridge has been overflowing and provided evidence, however every time I do all I get back is “investigated case closed” I have asked you to contact me but you seem reluctant to do so. Today the last case was closed again so I took photos again this morning showing that it is still overflowing. Are you that incompetent or do you really believe that there is no problem, I’m sure Andrew will be in touch and I hope it goes to your management team to see how incredibly incompetent you really are

After repeated reports stating the flooding from the drain and after 6 complaints and according to the highways that it.s been inspected and case closed after all reports Conway finally here looking into the issue, frustrated that it took so long and a threat of and an email to Andrew Selous to get this issue moving. If only the issue was taken seriously at the time it would have saved money and damage to both the drain surround and the gate post which has rotted away. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly whether it is tree roots or a collapse that caused the problem.
