Drop kerb outside 26-28 Stoke Road, Linslade

Reported via mobile in the Kerbs category anonymously at 12:56, Tue 12 March 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 403718.

During recent resurfacing of the road, the pavements were raised ahead of the resurfacing, I presumed because the new surface would end up at a new level. Unfortunately, the road is now significantly below the drop kerb, 10cm at the drain and at least 5cm everywhere else. This causes a significant ramp for entering the driveways in a car and a dangerous issue for entering in a motorbike or cycle. My neighbour and I made numerous attempts to alert the workers while the road was being resurfaced and were reassured it would be dealt with but it hasn't been. Please rectify this as soon as possible since there is potential vehicle damage if people are unaware and danger to cyclists expecting a smooth transition at the drop kerb.
