Large pothole, approx. 10 metres before a gated entrance to somewhere, heading toward Wing from Leighton Buzzard.

Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 21:26, Wed 27 March 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 404740.

I hit this pothole in the dark at low speed on the 18th February. Due to the rise in the road the hole is hard to see this hole compared to others but big enough to damage my n/s front wheel beyond repair. I hit it on Sunday 18th February around 7pm causing the tyre to instantly deflate. The road has had had potholes for some time, so many they are hard to avoid. It is now over 5 weeks since my incident and more than two months since issues were reported by others. There are no indications to warn of the road damage which could help prevent damage to more vehicles. I have seen several vehicles in the past weeks receiving emergency tyre/wheel repairs or recovery on this area of road.
