Drain on pavement outside Neville Funerals, Woburn Sands
Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:37, Fri 5 April 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 405096.
The drain cover has broken leaving the pavement exposed which someone can seriously do an injury to. We have put a cone over the hole so people do not walk on it and cause a severe injury.

I originally reported this issue so just wondered if there was any update on it being investigated?

Customer email-forwarded to area team as well.
Good afternoon,
We have had a broken drain cover outside our branch of Neville Funerals, 3 Aspley Hill in Woburn Sands now since early February.
We originally reported this issue via Fix My Street to Milton Keynes Council on 15th February and they eventually informed us that it was the responsibility of Central Beds Council. I therefore reported the issue on the Central Beds website on 5th April and was given the reference number 405096 and as a result, the status was updated to investigating. Since then Ive requested an update twice more but to no avail.
We have covered the broken drain cover with a cone as a temporary measure as its a hazard. If the drain cover is dislodged by vehicles driving over it, it leaves a deep hole which could be dangerous to pedestrians or drivers of vehicles or a vehicle itself. We have funeral vehicles entering our premises on a daily basis as well as elderly clients and we really need this resolving at your earliest convenience.
I would appreciate an update as soon as possible please.
