Over first speed hump in Richard Street turning from Great Northern road

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 405334.

As you come over the first speed hump turning into Richard Street from Great Northern road. There is a large pothole then a line of potholes in the middle of the road the full length till the turning for Lovers Walk. They can not be avoided as cars parked both sides of the road.

  • New customer called in to advise that his car has been damaged. Due to the pothole becoming worse, cars are swerving to avoid hitting the pothole. Its behind a speed hump, drivers are not seeing it in time.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
    An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)
