Hi team, this drain (highlighted in yellow on the photo) has been loose for several months now (I believe maybe since September/October).
I know this has been reported a few times and new FMS reports have been closed as duplicates. However, I am creating a new one to draw further attention to this issue.
Although this does not appear to be an emergency type issue, it’s really causing significant distress to residents in the area. As you know this is an extremely busy road, and every time a car drives over the drain, it emits a very loud “bang” which not only disrupts sleep but also is starting to cause a lot of anxiety in people in the area.
Could we please ask that this is looked at with higher priority if at all possible? We do appreciate teams are extremely busy but this is truly causing major distress to those of us who are more vulnerable.
Many thanks in advance,
R.

This has been reported numerous times since December 2023. Each time was advised that Anglian Water was informed, and they will fix it, nothing still and the noise is horrible as the road is a very busy road.
The council should fine them as they haven't fixed the issue in so long time, it is not enough only to pass the report to them, this should be monitored and make sure it is fixed.
All residents around are disturbed by this horrible noise and cannot have a proper sleep.
This issue has been reported to Anglian Water as well and all they say is we are aware we will fix it, but its been 9 months already.

Thank you for your Highways report.
We believe this to be a utilities covers this will be inspected by the officer and if deemed to not be part of a highways cover will be passed to the street works team to contact the relevant utility company who will arrange the repairs
We continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
