Path from crawley road to cranfield university

Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 00:10, Saturday 11 May 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 406558.

I am writing in regards to the pathway that can be obtained from Crawley Road to the Cranfield university. Unfortunately, the new pathway only stops at Crawley Road, right on a major road and very near to a national speed sign.

I and other people take this walking route to drop off or pick up their toddlers from nursery – Cherry Trees. However, as there is no public footpath on Crawley road this does cause concern especially pushing a pram when there are fast cars come speeding by. I am aware there had been an accident on that road due to speeding. Family release tribute to fatal road traffic collision victim – Milton Keynes | Thames Valley Police

I don’t understand why the path can’t be extended to a pavement and link it to a pavement. I would be grateful if someone could investigate this and let me know of the outcome.

  • Customer would like this to be inspected again as it is a pavement issue. They would appreciate if something is done. Customer states that it is dangerous. He states that there is no path on that road. Cars go really fast. He has suggested putting a pavement where the pathway leads unto a main busy road.

    State changed to: Open
