Both pavements along Rosebery Avenue.

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 17:17, Monday 13 May 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 406656.

The condition of the pavements along Rosebery Avenue is deeply concerning. With numerous young children walking, biking, or riding scooters, as well as elderly residents who may struggle with balance, the deteriorating state of the pavements poses a significant risk. I've taken 40 photos documenting the issue on both sides of the pavement. It's truly disheartening that action hasn't been taken sooner, especially considering my 12 years of firsthand experience living in this area and witnessing the neglect of pavement maintenance. Urgent attention to this matter is crucial to prevent potential serious injuries. Your prompt consideration in addressing this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Customer who also reported this has said this pavement has been really quite bad and first reported 5 years ago and one of the residents even had a fall a few years back but this was not reported back to us, but customers feel this really needs addressing, also regularly used by children and elderly are living here as well round the corner. Please can this be re-visited for consideration of repair due to the reasosn stated. This will be continued to be reported and they will go the media if no repairs are carried out.
