Drain is blocked. The drain has been hi-lighted on one of the photos. The water has started to overflow onto the footpath and it backs up to nearly the full length of the lay-by. This has flooded for many years but after the road resurfacing in 2023 it stopped even through this years very wet winter. However, since Virgin / fibre / cabling works have recently done some digging in this area the water has started to appear & flood again. I recently saw someone (not sure if this was the council or private contractor) pumping out gallons of water from this drain onto the grass area in front of the row of houses but it’s obviously still blocked.
