Flitwick Road pavement between Chestnut Crescent and Duck End Lane

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407212.

The pavement along this blind bend has become very overgrown with nettles and weeds, needing pedestrians to walk close to or on the road against oncoming traffic with poor visibility.

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
