Steppingly Road, currently north west of junction with Windmill Road

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407393.

Organising street works must be a problem but I have to say that enough is enough and I am now making a complaint about the number of times there have been roadworks and temporary traffic lights in this area. I appreciate there is a major development, but the repeated roadworks, often digging up a previously completed trench must indicate some sort on incompetance of the contactors. If they are making mistakes, they should be made yo carry out the remedial works at night. The daytime disruption is noe excessive and not acceptable.

  • Enough rfeally is enough. The roadworks and traciic lights reported as above were removed shortly after I made the report. I not receive any specific response from the Council, but did receive an automated acknowledgement and case number.

    I am horrified to see that YET AGAIN the same bit of Stepplingly Road, this time just to the south east of the junction with Windmill Road, is being dug up AND temporary traffic lights are AGAIN in place.

    How many times, in say one year, does the very same trench have to be dug up and why? The inconvenience to Flitwick residents is simply unacceptable. I really do expect a response fom Central Bedfordshire Council now!
