At fork in road opposite new houses in Moor Lane

Reported via desktop in the Trees category by Mrs. Ann Vickers at 23:03, Wednesday 29 May 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407445.

Can you please point out to your highways truck that the piece of land that they use as a short cut when going from the nature reserve road and making a sharp right turn to the bottom of Moor Lane past allotments is actually someone's allotment. It has a garden hut on this land and the tenant pays rent for this plot, which goes right to the manhole at this junction. As Clerk to the Maulden Charities we do appreciate that it is difficult to make this right hand tight turn - unless they learn how to do a three point turn- hence they take the short cut across, which looks to them as waste land. I just need to point out what they have been seen doing, by me, a few weeks ago and do not want them to make a habit of it. If they are seen doing it then other people will also think they can use this piece of allotment land. We will turn a blind eye to it as long as they realise.
