Entire road between roundabout and Harlington station
Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 12:10, Sat 8 June 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 407857.
This road either needs line markings, or a reduction in the speed limit. I could have gotten in a serious accident coming from Harlington station. A small green van had just overtaken cyclists but kept driving in the middle of the road at high speed. I had to break and swerve to avoid him, hitting and going over the sidewalk (which is hard to notice as it is overgrown with weeds). The road is narrow, and having line markings helps drivers to understand their side of the road (and tells them they should not overtake in/near bends). I have likely damaged my tires but it could have been a lot worse. This is a busy road and it is waiting on a serious accident to happen.
