To the right of my property. Foot and Cycle path.

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 13:58, Tue 18 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408221.

Overgrown trees and hedges. The trees/brambles have grown across the footpath. If they could be cut back that would be great.

But I’ve called about a general query aswell. The trees have grown significantly over the years and are now getting towards the height of the house. They block the sun. They’re not maintained by anyone so I’d like to ask permission for me to arrange a tree surgeon to trim them, perhaps to 8ft high or so. This would help with them overflowing onto footpath, manage them and help me with the sun not being blocked out. I would only do this along my fence line where he trees are relatively small. I understand this alleyway is highways land as it used to be a road? So I wasn’t sure where to approach but when I called they suggested to report it. Would be happy to discuss this with someone to explain further.
