Outside 4&5 Mills Walk Sandy

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 17:06, Tue 18 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408229.

The tree has so nany leaves the light from the lamppost is obliterated and path is in darkness. During autumn leaves cause danger when slippery. The wind bliws fallen leaves onto my property and can cover my electric wheelchair.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Central Bedfordshire Council at 17:06, Tue 18 June 2024

  • As per our policy, we are not obliged to prune this tree for leaf drop onto private property/vehicles etc. The streetlight doesn't seem to be obstructed to levels where we feel intervention is required. This tree was last inspected in January this year with no defects noted. The tree is in good health and we do not believe it currently requires pruning.

Additionally, due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
