Greenfields Shillington

Reported via iOS in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 14:47, Wednesday 19 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408257.

Having reported these holes now on many occasions, two months ago they were circled with yellow markings to be resurfaced time has now passed and the paint washed and worn away, in the meantime holes have got significantly bigger, and causing my whole house to shake when cars and lorries go over. Also now cars have taken to going up and over grass verge to avoid. Kerbs need hiring and actually pedestrian footpath put in to cross the road at the bottom. Dangerous now to cross.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
