Along the road from Lidlington to Marston, on the left hand side.

Reported via mobile in the Signs category anonymously at 21:13, Thu 20 June 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408317.

Very recently, the grass verge was cut, and the contractors have completely smashed up all the safety bollards that had been situated on the verge, on a dangerous corner. Now, just large, ugly bits of plastic have been left - mostly lying down.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways

  • Tess Mason- familiamason@hotmail.com has sent an email: What I would sincerely hope is that you contact the contractors who did this, to ensure that they do not continue to make such a mess. You are paying them to do a job and should ensure that they do what you pay them to do.
