Riverside alley from Plantation Road - What3words: ///light.blitz.lend

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 16:19, Monday 1 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408704.

The verges / trees are overgrown and the street lamp as pictured is covered by overgrowth. Giving little light and that the alley is currently being used as someone’s toilet leaving their toilet paper. Hopefully, the light will give a little deterrent. Thank you for your consideration.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

  • Hello, I wondered if there was an update on cutting back the tree around the street light please? Only, an older neighbour who uses the alley was worried they don’t have good light to see the uneven pathway. Also, it’s getting darker earlier so it’d be appreciated to have more street lighting please. With thanks in advance, Nicola
