Incorrect Road markings
Reported via mobile in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 16:36, Sat 13 July 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409186.
On the A5183 - High Street South, Dunstable. Between the junctions of Periwinkle Lane and Great Northern Road. The road markings have recently been reinstated here, however the central hatched area for vehicles turning right is incorrectly marked and a big hazzard.
There's should be arrows on both directions to tell vehicles when they can enter each box and one of the lines on the centre of box removed. Currently vehicles cut across the opposing boxes and head straight towards oncoming turning vehicles due to the incorrect markings.
Please can the contractors correct this before there's a serious accident.
