Appenine Way

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 10:30, Tue 23 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409590.

Workers arrived yesterday, 22/7 at 8am with chain saws and seem to be chopping down trees. We have not been advised about this. I'm concerned that they are going to chop down the trees that are providing me privacy from the shop and pub. I've emailed, but no response. Any information gratefully received.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.

That verge is privately owned by Taylor Wimpey, and is unadopted by CBC. We have no say over those trees' management unfortunately. We would guess that a resident commissioned these works as TW have not been taking responsibilty for their assets.
    Many thanks,
