Totternhoe Road by entrance to Greenway. What3words: flock.jousting.soups

Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category by mike williams at 21:07, Tue 23 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409629.

There is a loose manhole cover in the middle of the road that moves and makes a loud noise whenever a vehicle drives over it. I reported the problem to this website previously (ref 393809) and some work was done to sort it out on 9th January. It was fine for several months but it's now as bad as it was previously. Part of the problem is that the cover is at a lower level than the surrounding road surface so vehicles hit it with increased force and as a result it makes more noise. I would be very grateful if you could revisit the site and arrange for a more permanent solution that would fix this issue for good. Thanks
