Silsoe road outside no 3 Whiteman court

Reported via mobile in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 18:04, Wed 24 July 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409672.

There are four road traffic cones that have been placed here and have been stolen from another location. This is a double yellow line and no one parks here anyway ! People turning into Silsoe rd keep running them over and a child fell off her bike and gashed her leg on a jagged edge yesterday where they have been squashed. These have been put here by a member of the public illegally .can they be removed please before someone else gets hurt.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
