Hockliffe Road by Appenine Way past garden centre

Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 06:58, Mon 26 August 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410664.

Road chippings getting worse. Piling up at edge of road, at junctions and middle of road. All over pavement. Reported before, but council doesn't care about the cyclists and motor cyclists who are being affected by this plus pedestrians getting hit by chippings from traffic. You say you want to encourage cycling, so get the roads up to standard. They are disgusting

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    Many thanks,
